This past week has been a busy and hard week for us both. Matt has been busy with studying, tests, and more tests (which he did very well on). I spent the first part of the week in Little rock for a PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) training. One of my contract sites is a public school and they sent one of the Special Ed teachers and me for this training since I have a total of 6 who are currently using it and 2 more who will possibly be using this next fall. The training was great yet very long and tiresome. Lucky for me, Brooke (one of my dearest friends) was also attending the training and we were able to catch up and visit!! It made me realize how much I miss her and several of my close friends:( Here is a picture of brooke and I during the last few hours of the training.
This is a horrible picture of Brooke and I during a break time. We were so burnt out and tired of sitting so our enthusiasm was limited.

After the training, I finished out my work week and then finished it off with softball practice. I had initially planned to only go to practice for an hour tops, but once I got out there I started enjoying the work out, meeting other players, and the wonderful weather so I ended up staying for two hours which put me on the road kind of late but it was worth it!!
Friday Matt had another test, so I helped him study during a break between his classes and then I rans some errands and waited patient for him to return! That night we went out to dinner with Jason and met his wife Holly at this whole in the wall bar-b-q and bar type place. It was fun getting to visit with another couple and trade stories and hear about their New York life they recently left. It was all together a good time with good people!
Saturday, Matt and I went golfing with Jason and his son Auston. It was a nice day, yet VERY windy. It was very interesting to play golf in such strong wind as we did but its just something we are having to adjust to living here in Oklahoma. Matt bought me my own set of clubs which I like very much! Im slowly getting better.
Easter was absolutely wonderful. What a wonderful day to celebrate christ and all that we have been blessed with! The Lord is truly Good. The weather was gorgeous and we spent most of the day outside. We went to lowes first and looked around are patio furniture and grills (all things on our want but cant afford list). We then threw the softball around in the back yard for a bit which was so nice to do in our big back yard! Once Kramer (josh- a friend of Matts who is a class behind Matt right now) came over the two of us cooked as Matt studied some more. We made different kind of enchiladas (with fried corn tortillas), beans, corn, cheese dip, and salsa! It was a success and soooo delicious! After dinner, Matt and I went back outside and played a game of Horse with putting (golf). Here are some fun pictures of our game:
This was a one legged shot

Between the leg shot

And here is a video of the shot that won the game for him:
I honestly can not believe he made that shot. The tube is a cardboard roll that the practice green is rolled around when its not being used. I didnt think he could make it but he did and I couldnt so.... I lost :(
As of now, Matt is in class and I am loading up and headed back to Fort Smith for work! I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!!
I just love your blog! That video of Matt is too funny!
ReplyDeleteYa well for the record...... It was a really close game. He lucked out on that shot! And I'm glad you like it!!! Im not very good at it but hopefully getting better!!!
