Last weekend Matt and I celebrated our First wedding anniversary!! My family (John, mom, Erin, David, MacKenzie, Mallory, and Christopher) made a trip to Enid to celebrate with us. This was their first time to visit and Matts first time to meet baby Mac!!
Saturday (Erin and Davids Anniversary), the guys went and played golf while we (gals) went to the nail salon to get the best pedicures EVER!!! The pedicures included cuticle and nails trimming, exfoliation, aroma therapy, hot towel wrap, hot stone massage, hydrating paraffin dip, and nail painting!!! It was seriously AMAZING and I cant wait to go back!! After golf and pedicures, Matt gave a tour of the base and then we went and ate at a new mexican restaurant.

We then headed back to the house to put Mackenzie down for bed and we all watched a movie together. The next morning (our Anniversary) we fixed breakfast and said our goodbyes. It was a short weekend, but we were both so pleased that everyone came to visit us and Matt LOVED getting to meet his new niece!!
This weekend was Track Select for Matt which his family (Mary Jo, Joe, Melissa, and Doc) came for!! Friday morning we attended the family breakfast that was put on by the IPs and their wives. After breakfast we went and toured the base.

After a tour, we went and ate lunch, and then went to check out the simulators! Because it was Track Select, they had the simulators available for families to try out. We all got a chance to fly!! :) Here is Mr. Cooley after his flight:
After the simulator fun, we went and had pizza and beer in the squadron bar followed by the Track select ceremony! Track select is when student pilots (the active duty) find out whether they will track to fighter/bomber (T-38), tanker/cargo (T-1), Helicopter (H-1), or Turbo Shaft (T-44). Since Matt is guard, He already knows what he will be flying- T-38!!! Track select is a much bigger deal for the active duty students because none of them know where they are going or what they will be flying. Typically, there are only 3 or 4 student who get T-38 jets per class (30 or so students) but there were a total of 6 in Matts class including him which is exciting! Their was One Helicopter, 5 T-4, and the rest got T-1. . It was really exciting to see those who got what they wanted and kind of sad to see those who did not get what they wanted. All in all.... Matt got T-38 and finished pretty well in his class. I am so proud of him! At the end of the ceremony, one of the IPs came up to Matt to shake his hand.... and in the hand shake he gave Matt a set of his wings which is a very big honor! Following the wings, Matts dad presented him with a coin which is also special! Here are some pics from the ceremony: Matt standing up front as IPs speak about him
In case you cant see his picture on the screen:

Thank you family!! :) After working in the yard, we ate a lunch and then decided to take advantage of a BEAUTIFUL day by going golfing!! The weather couldn't have been more perfect!!
Also- we would like to congratulate the Hogs on their victory! Their newest fan was excited for the game:
