September fun!

Matt started classes (for T-38) last Wednesday and he is back to the books!! Thursday night, when I got into town, Matt accompanied me to a spouses meeting for the T-38 wives. There are only two of us in Matts class so we were combined with other classes. At this meeting they discussed what our husbands will be going through for the next six months.... and it looks like I am going to have one exhausted husband!! For the next three weeks Matt will be in academics and then will begin flying again!! This morning he left at 7am for Centrifuge in New Mexico for three days. Centrifuge is were they test the reactions and tolerance of pilots and astronauts to acceleration above those experienced in the Earth's gravity. This training is to evaluate prospective pilots for high-g flight for the aircrafts. The first thing that came to mind when Matt was explaining this to me was: Space cowboys (the movie) when they are spun around and around and around!! Well, thats what matt will be doing!! We were told that they would receive a video and if that is true... then we will definitely share when we've got it! :)

Friday, Matt was busy all day with classes and preparing for the New Mexico trip while I did some work, ran errands, and laundry. As soon as Matt was off we went and ate with Russ and Heather! I was SO ready to get out of the house.

Saturday, I drug Matt with me to Hobby Lobby and Walmart!! When we got home we decorated our house for fall with the few decorations we have and then we watched FOOTBALL all day. A few of our friends came over for the Ark vs. ULM and Bama Vs. Penn St game! Matt was so bummed that we were not at the game with EVERYONE else we know so we decided to set up our backyard as though we were tailgating. We set up a TV and a Computer (both displaying a game), grilled dinner, tossed a football, played bag-o, and visited! It ended up being a great time!!

As for me, today Cheeto and I are watching old movies while I do some paper work! Tomorrow I will head back to Fort Smith for work!! Hope you all are well! Have a great week~
