Over Labor Day weekend, Granmolly (my grandmother) was in New York City with her friends when she got really sick and had to be admitted into the hospital. She is still at the hospital but is making progress each day!! I have been up there a couple of times to help out while my uncle takes care of some work. Several of us have and will be taking shifts up there to be with her as she heals! She has a lot of love, support, and prayers!
So I know some people are thinking "WOW, NYC! How fun! What all did you get to do?" Well the answer is... I got to do a lot of walking to and from the hospital and a lot of sitting! I was very happy to be there with Granmolly, but I do hope to go again under different circumstances and actually get the full tourist experience!!
Here are some pictures from my NYC travels:

Granmolly taught Erin and me how to Knit!! Granmolly and Erin both were very shocked by my success!! Here is my first scarf in progress!:
Soo... I hadnt really packed well enough for the weather up there. It ended up being fairly chilly and rainy on my last trip there and all I had packed were some flip flops and a really old pair of flats (that I LOVE and wear all the time!!). Well on my last day there, I was walking to the hospital in the rain and I was wearing my one pair of flats. I was about two or three blocks away when the sole of my shoe came off. LUCKILY, I was right by a shoe store that sold TOMS (which I had been wanting)!! Even though I was so excited that I was finally buying a pair of Toms, I was also SOOO embarrassed as I walked in with one shoe! You should have seen the looks on everyones faces. Im sure I was as red as a tomato. Anyway, here is a pic of my new shoes that I LOVE!:
As for Matt, he has been studying and studying and studying!! He did finally have his dollar ride for the T-38 today! I havent talked to him yet about his first experience in this aircraft but Im sure he loved every minute of it. As many of you already know, Matt rarely gets to leave Enid due to his training but he was able to request off Friday for his sisters wedding this weekend!! YAY!! So Matt is driving to Fort Smith tonight and then we will drive to Arkadelphia in the Morning!! We are both excited to finally see each other and to see our families!! I WILL post again after this weekend with many pics from the wedding!
We love you all and wish yall a wonderful weekend! :)
~and please keep praying for granmolly!!
