The weekend of Jan 13- I spent the weekend visiting my sister and niece in Fayetteville! Over the course of the weekend, we celebrated my eldest sisters birthday, got pedicures, played with my niece, and my friend Brooke drove up and joined us for some relaxation around the TV- we joined several of our fellow OBU alum/students and Arkansans in supporting our Miss Arkansas who competed in the Miss America pageant!!

Matt spent the weekend with our Enid friends. From what I hear, they had too much fun playing endless games of Risk, watching movies, and eating!!
The next weekend we met Matts family in Tulsa! It was the first time we had seen his sister and brother-in-law since their wedding! It was so great getting to see them!! We ate, played games, bowled, and ate some more!! We all had a great time as you can see: Matt and Brandon shoot deer and Melissa and I had a dance competition

This same weekend- our niece Mackenzie had her baptism at church. We were unable to attend but here is the family with her on her special day!
January 28th- MATT's Birthday celebration!!! We ordered pizza and played games at the house with our friends!!! Our friends, Russ and Heather, got a puppy who we played with a lot!!!!! His name is Shooter (name of the fighter squadron Matt and Russ are apart of) and he is a Puggle (pug and beagle mix)!!! We spent the rest of the weekend watching movies and eating!! It was a very relaxing weekend and fun weekend!! I was a horrible wife and didnt take any pictures of Matt on his birthday to share with you all. However, I did take several pictures of the new pup!!! Here is Matt with Shooter
This weekend- I didnt arrive until Friday due to weather. I woke up early Friday morning with the news of a new storm coming through, so I jumped in the car and got on the road (much earlier then I had planned) in hope to beat the storm. The roads were good up until I exited off I-40 onto the turnpike. The roads were absolutely HORRIBLE until Tulsa. It took me about 6 hours to finally get home to Matt. It was a long and rough drive!! Matt was already home awaiting my arrival which was nice!! We spent the weekend with friends, at the movies (we watched King Speech!), and watching the superbowl!! We hosted the super bowl at our house and everyone brought a good amount of food with them. We had meatballs, calzones, mini sausages, miniture beef/chees patties, chips and dips, chicken pasta, vegetables platter, and tortilla soup!!
Over the course of these weeks, we have both spent many of our days during the week NOT working because of all the winter weather we have had. I can honestly say- I have cabin FEVER and I can not wait to have a full week of work again and Matt is extremely anxious to get back in the air. He was scheduled to fly today but..... of course the weather kept him grounded again!! AND according to this weeks forecast- Matt will not be flying and I will be unable to travel for work. So hopefully, after this weeks storm, warmer weather will find us (fingers crossed)!!!

Are you still in Ft. Smith on occasion? Mary E., Conner, Will and new baby Henry are semi-living there right now. Conner started a new job in Ft. Smith so he is there a lot and right now Mary E. and Will are in Arkadelphia. Mary E. just had Henry on Sunday, and I think they will be in Arkadelphia for a month or so before being in Ft. Smith more often. Anyway, just thought I'd let you know in case you are still there some! It has been fun reading your blog! I just started one too (margaretandmarc.blogspot.com), and haven't been the best about updating, but I will be better soon! I am in Houston for a test to take tomorrow, so after that's over, I should be better about blogging!
