On Monday I made Cake Balls for Matt to take to his flight room on Tuesday. However.... Matt was running late and left them in his car all day. So.... they never actually got eaten. But here is what they looked like before they turned into a melted mess.
Tuesday, I went to OKC with Heather to find a dress for the graduation formal dinner in two weeks. We went from store to store and mall to mall having no luck finding the perfect dress. Then we found THE store! And when I say THE store, I mean THE store!!! It had everything we were looking for!! Of course, then were now stuck having to decide which dress we wanted! After a store/txt poll- I finally made my decision! I dont think I have ever been so excited to wear a dress before! It is comfortable and its just what I had been looking for!! I would show you pictures now... But I think making you wait until graduation makes it that more suspenseful!!! :)
Wednesday I made a BLT dip and salsa for the flight room. Dips are always a success!!! Thursday were brownies and rice crispy treats, and Friday Sausage Cheese Balls! I enjoyed making something each day and preparing dinner for Matt but now I am tired of doing the dishes!!!
Ok, enough about my domestic responsibilities this week and onto Assignment night!!! As many of you know- Friday was Matts assignment night. Again, Assignment night is when everyone finds out their assignments (exact aircraft/location) for the next few years. I used my new flip camera to video tape and Heather used my camera to take pictures!!
Here is a picture of Matt awaiting his assignment:
Here is the footage of Matts assignment
Did you recognize the Barnyard theme? Its the 11-07 class patch they had designed (can view it on last Stand Up post). Matt of course knew his assignment because he is Guard. Here is a video clip of one of the active duty guys who is finding out his assignment.
This is Wes. In the video it shows at first that he got a bomber but then changes to an f-15E when it shows location (North Carolina). There are 20 in Matt's entire graduation class and 6 of them went t-38 track with Matt and they have all became pretty close. Matts t-38 class got whats considered a REALLY good drop (assignments). Brandon Sullivan F-16, Steven Nichols F-16, Wes F-15, Justin Lee F-16, Joe M-28, and Lucas Miller KC135. Most of the locations given were for their next training location (TX, AZ, KS, NC, NM). The T-1 class had a couple of exciting locations - germany, england, hawaii, and alaska- which were all fun to see them get!!! It was a very exciting night!
Here is Matt and Me after assignment announcements~

We all had a lot of fun. I cant wait to post a graduation blog!! I am very proud of my husband for all that he has accomplished so far and so excited for what the future holds for us! Thank you all for following us on our journey! We hope you all have enjoyed it as much as we have:)

Em - I'm sorry we won't be there for Matt's graduation. I can't get off work this Friday and I'm hate to ask since I've been off so much with Grandma Cofelt. Just know that we're there in spirit and are very proud of you both. You guys have really stayed committed and it can't have been easy for either of you. We love you both and send congratulations to Matt for a job well done!
