Boy, am I behind on blogging. It is been a crazy month! Lets see.... where should I even begin....
After Matt's Graduation, Kramer graduated and we said our goodbyes to him as he left for Little Rock, AR to complete his C-130 training. Here is Kramer with his lovely family:
Russ had his assignment night and he heard the good news that he would be transferring units. (see earlier post for further details.)
Matt has started his IFF (Introduction to Fighter Fundamentals) training. He is having WAY too much fun!! In this training, they actually simulate fighting in the air with simulated guns/missiles and learn how to apply maneuvers he has learned in UPT in attacks and defense. He has been studying and flying a lot but he is really enjoying this part of the training and seems to be doing really well with it!
On May 14, 2011: Melissa (Matt's sister) and Christopher (my brother) both graduated from the University of Arkansas!
Melissa graduated with a Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering. She is currently working on her Masters and is expected to graduate again next spring:)
Melissa with her parents and her hubby Brandon (whose a civil engineer)
Practicing Safety while touring the Lab!
Christopher graduated with a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineer. He is currently interviewing for jobs!!! :)

That Sunday we Celebrated Mackenzie's 1st Birthday!! Matt was unable to attend because he had to get back to Enid. At first, MacKenzie wasn't too sure about the cake. She kind of played with the icing in between her fingers feeling it out. Then Erin, her mom, put some on her lips and she then understood exactly what she need to do!! :)
**Note to self: icing is messy and black icing is even messier.
Here is Mac with her Mickey ears
David, Erin, and Mackenzie. (my mom made the super cute sign in the background)
Her Birthday theme was Mini and Mickey Mouse! She is an avid fan of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show in the mornings. If you haven't seen this show then you are missing out on one of the most popular songs amongst kids these days which is the "Hotdog Dance". Here is a youtube video clip of the song/dance. My sister Erin does a wonderful impression of Goofy.
The following weekend, Russ had his UPT graduation! Here is Russ and Heather at their Formal Graduation dinner. I just LOVE the dress Heather is wearing! We both got our dresses from Cache. Every dress we tried on was comfortable and looked great! It was so hard to make a decision!
Memorial weekend!! Matt was surprisingly given some extra time off for the holiday weekend so we decided last minute to travel home to Arkadelphia. It was a nice time away from work and training. Being home, with no schedule or events to work around, is like a retreat for us. Both of our parents live on beautiful properties and it was so nice to just enjoy ourselves and each other.
We sat and enjoyed the outdoors!
We fed the catfish, paddled the boat around in the pond, and fished
We rode four-wheelers
We visited with family and friends, drove up to Little Rock to visit with granmolly in the hospital, and meet up with Kramer at riverfest and saw Charlie Daniels Band.
Then we headed back to Fort Smith on Sunday and looked at a house -which we have made an offer on!! (more to come soon)
So as you can see... its been a busy few weeks. Now that work has slowed down some for me and we dont have so much going on during the weekends.... I am able to FINALLY post on the blog. I hope to never get this behind again. I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the weekend! We are headed to the base for some time at the pool!
Love~Em and Matt

Em, you guys have had lots of fun celebrations recently. It is so fun to read about them! Can't wait to hear about the house! Good luck with it all!
